It can be claimed that she is the world’s first little girl heroine. The book has influenced modern children’s writing over time to the present day, and the book has never been out of print. Indeed, such is the popularity of the story among old and young alike, that many animated and real life movies have been made, the most recent Alice in Wonderland, directed by Tim Burton, which has spawned a huge range of Alice accessories.
